The newest member of the Cuddle Me Keepsakes family has arrived – Whisper the Unicorn!

With her gorgeous mane and magical horn, Whisper the Unicorn provides a timeless way to cherish your most precious clothing, whether that be outgrown baby clothes or treasured clothing from lost loved ones.

Measuring 30cm (12″) tall in a sitting position, Whisper is jointed so can be positioned sitting or standing and requires 6 – 8 items of baby clothes (based on aged 3-6 months) or 2 – 4 items of adult clothing.

Each version of Whisper the Unicorn created will vary vastly depending on the clothing you provide. When choosing clothing to provide for your keepsake think about how the items look together, but most importantly think about the clothes that hold the most meaning to you.

Too many large motifs are difficult to include so please ensure the majority of clothes you send are patterned (stars, spots, stripes, flowers etc). I would always recommend sending at least one plainer item as well as I find these work best on faces and as the background for personalised embroidery.

I stabilise each piece of clothing with interfacing when making ALL of my keepsakes, which ensures a high quality finish and therefore almost any fabric can be used although jersey works best for cuddling up to. However, please bear in mind that anything too thick may not sit so nicely against cotton and jersey and will not result in such a clean, flat seam finish. Fabric that doesn’t work well includes leather, swimwear and chunky knitwear.

Whisper comes complete with safety eyes, co-ordinating ribbon and round wooden buttons at the arms and leg joints.

Please note, the animals in our First Cuddles collection should be surface washed only with a damp cloth. Do not tumble dry.

WARNING: Whisper the Unicorn is a keepsake only and not a toy. As these keepsakes are made from treasured clothing provided by you, they cannot be CE tested and are therefore not suitable for persons under 14 years of age. The filling of the animals is 100% polyester and complies with British Standards BS5852, and safety eyes are always used.
