How do I order?

To place an order, please visit the ‘Order’ section on www.cuddlemekeepsakes.co.uk

Simply choose the keepsake you would like to order and fill in the order form detailing any personalisation or special requests. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions prior to ordering. Once I’ve received your order, I’ll contact you via email with an order number and details of sending your clothes to Cuddle Me HQ.

If the order form is showing as ‘Fully Booked’ please do sign up to the newsletter to be the first to know when I re-open for new orders.

I purposely don’t operate an online shop as I like to have a conversation with you whilst ordering such a personalised cherished item.

How should I send my clothes?

When you place your order, I will email you with full details on where to send your clothes. Please send clothes securely packaged and it’s advised to use Royal Mail recorded, special delivery, or a tracked courier service.

If you live locally to Ilminster, Somerset you’re more than welcome to drop off and collect from my home.

Please include a note inside your package with your name, address and any special requests.

Clothes should be clean but no need to iron as I do this when I stabilise the fabric with interfacing (you’re welcome) 😉

Can I wash my keepsake?

The animals in our First Cuddles collection should be surface washed only with a damp cloth. Do not tumble dry.

Both Cuddle and Luxury blankets, as well as cushion covers and taggys can be washed on a delicate cycle or by hand, but again do not tumble dry.

Are Keepsakes toys?

No! The animals within our First Cuddles Collection are for you and your child to admire and cherish. As these keepsakes are made from precious clothing provided by you, they cannot be CE tested and are therefore not suitable for persons under 14 years of age. A gentle hug is always welcome but please ensure your child is always supervised. The filling of the animals is 100% polyester and complies with British Standards BS5852, and safety eyes are always used.

Please also be aware that duvets and cushions should not be used in the cot for any baby under the age of one.

What condition should clothes be in?

The clothing you send should be in good condition. Some wearing/ stains are inevitable (these were probably your most favourite outfits after all) and I will do my best to work around any wearing or stains. If an item is too worn and I feel it may affect the quality of the final keepsake, I will contact you to discuss further. If you have any queries prior to sending your clothes, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Can I return an item?

You can cancel your order at any time prior to production of your keepsake commencing. If you wish to cancel your order please do so by emailing or messaging through Facebook prior to sending your clothes. You cannot cancel your order once production has commenced due to the bespoke nature of the item.

As keepsakes are personalised items I cannot accept returns unless they are actually faulty. If any fault is deemed to be that of Cuddle Me Keepsakes I will happily correct any mistakes made and cover the cost of return postage. I cannot refund or exchange customer damaged items, however corrections can be made for an admin fee of £15 with the cost of return postage being the responsibility of the customer.

If retuning an item, please ensure proof of postage is obtained as Cuddle Me Keepsakes can accept no responsibility for items until they have arrived with me.

Who makes my keepsake?

That would be me, Leah! I am the only person at Cuddle Me Keepsakes so I design, cut and stitch everything. I am also the person you’ll be chatting to over email or social media.

How can I order/use gift cards?

Gift cards can be ordered in any denomination and can be used on any product order from Cuddle Me Keepsakes.

To order, simply email or message me, or use the order form on cuddlemekeepsakes.co.uk. Let me know the value of gift card required and whether you would like the voucher emailed or sent. I will then send you an invoice and once this has been paid your gift card will be sent.

Each gift card will include a unique code. To redeem a voucher simply quote this code in any correspondence and I will deduct this from the final amount of your order.

Gift cards have a two year expiry date from the date of purchase.

Can you offer a rush order?

Unfortunately this is not a service I currently offer as I don’t believe there is any way of rushing such a precious order. All keepsakes are created in the order that final payments and clothes have been received.

What payments do you accept?

When I have received your clothes and your keepsake is ready to be made, I’ll send you an invoice for the final balance, which can be made via BACS. This payment must be made before the creation of your keepsake can begin.

How many clothes do I need to send?

Information below is based on baby clothing aged 3-6 months. If your clothing is smaller than this, please send a few extra items. More clothes can be provided if you’d like less repetition on the keepsake. Any clothing that I’m unable to use will be returned to you with your keepsake.

For the animals in our ‘First Cuddles Collection’, 6 – 8 pieces of clothing are required or 4 – 6 items of adult clothing.

If you do not have enough fabric, I can use complimenting soft fleece fabric for an additional £5 per keepsake.

For our ‘Cosy Up With Me’ collection, the following amount of clothing is required:

• Small blanket – 14 – 16 items/ 8 – 10 items of adult clothing
• Medium blanket – 26 – 28 items/ 14 – 16 items of adult clothing
• Large blanket – 42 – 44 items/ 22 – 24 items of adult clothing
• Cushion – 6 – 8 items/ 4 – 6 items of adult clothing
• Bunting – 10 items/ 5 items of adult clothing.

How much is postage?

All items dispatched by Cuddle Me Keepsakes are delivered by Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ or ‘Tracked 48’, depending on your chosen preference. We are unable to accept responsibility for items once they have been dispatched.

Postage and packing is advised on your invoice depending on your chosen service and in line with their standard pricing (starting from £4.74 for one item). For multiple items I will provide a quote for you when ordering. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.

Unfortunately I do not currently ship outside the UK.

When will I receive my keepsake?

At the time of order I will let you know which month has been allocated for your keepsake to be made. I will always endeavour to return your completed keepsake by the end of this allocated month (providing clothing and payment have been received on time as per your order confirmation). I always communicate when I’m beginning to create your keepsake and when it’s ready. I’ll also communicate when your keepsake has been posted and provide your tracking number.

What fabric can you use?

I stabilise each piece of clothing with interfacing when making ALL of my keepsakes, which ensures a high quality finish and therefore almost any fabric can be used. However, please bear in mind that anything too thick may not sit so nicely against cotton and jersey and will not result in such a clean, flat seam finish. Fabric that doesn’t work well includes leather, swimwear and chunky knitwear. If I can’t use an item you’ve provided, I’ll let you know and return it with your finished keepsake. If you’re unsure of a certain item please do not hesitate to contact me before sending your clothes.

What happens to any unused fabric?

Any unused and uncut clothing will be returned with your keepsake. Please note, if there are a lot of items being returned this may result in additional postage costs.

Any offcuts or cut pieces of clothing are not returned unless requested at the time of ordering. These are kept for a short while and are then recycled.

Can I have input in to how my keepsake is designed?

Of course – if there are particular items or certain details you’d like included on your keepsake please put a note in when you send me your clothes. I ask for a note with the order, even if you have previously emailed/ messaged me as I can then keep these special requests with your clothes and ensure no details are missed.

I’ll always do my best to accommodate any special requests you may have, but sometimes the positioning of patterns or logos on the clothes don’t lend themselves well to certain sections of the keepsake. If I think a certain request can’t be accommodated, I’ll contact you to discuss further prior to beginning the creation of your keepsake.

Where are your patterns from?

The patterns for Amie Bear, Cuddle Bunny, Whisper the Unicorn and Jack-Jack Lion are from Funky Friends Factory. Boo the Elephant pattern is from Huggable Patterns

What’s the difference between a Cuddle Blanket and Luxury Blanket?

Cuddle Blankets are timeless patchwork blankets made from your most treasured items of clothing and backed in a super soft cuddle fleece.

Luxury blankets are also beautiful patchwork blankets made from your most treasured items of clothing, but are backed in a premium super soft dimple fleece and filled with thick quality wadding for extra warmth and comfort.

Cuddle and Luxury blankets are both available in three sizes:

• Small (70cm x 100cm)
• Medium (100cm x 130cm)
• Large (130cm x 160cm)

Cuddle fleece and premium super soft dimple fleece is available in pale blue, pale pink, pale grey, cream or ivory. Special requests can also be accommodated where possible.

*All sizes are approximate
